Dr. Fred Luks
Dr Fred Luks, socio-economist, studied at the Hamburg University of Economics and Politics and at the University of Hawaii in Manoa. His work concentrates on sustainable development, the history of economic ideas, and meta-economics. He has published numerous works, including the books “The Future of Growth” (2001) and “Sustainability” (2002) (both in German). After several years as leader of an interdisciplinary research project, he is now working at the Austrian Institute for Sustainable Development in Vienna. In summer 2008 he is guest professor for ecological economics at the University of Hamburg.
