Dr. Günter Küppers
Günter Küppers studied mathematics and physics and then completed a PhD in physics. At the University of Vienna he gained his professorship with work on the self-organization of science. Having worked as a stipendium researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Plasma physics he then moved on to become a Member of the Board and General Manager at the Institute for Science and Technology Research ('Institut für Wissenschafts- und Technikforschung) at the University of Bielefeld. He has been retired since 2004. His research interests now concentrate on the problems related to chaos and order in nature and society, as well as the development of insight in science and technology. At the same time he has won numerous awards as a hobby cook and works on subjects such as complexity as a business consultant.
