Strategy Driven Process Concept

Impacts and Benefits for Telco Industries

A special set of process and quality indicators provide corporate management with information to detect weaknesses and enable it to develop and implement strategic measures to eliminate them. The larger the organization, the more important these indicators are as a means of making potential for improvement plain to see. Even if a process improves, it won’t be noticed unless indicators quantify it.

Telco suppliers and service providers are benchmarked at each link in their value chain. Products that are what the market wants are a result of performance shifts in the production process. Efficiency enables telcos to tender with competitive prices in selected areas of complex product portfolios. Yet success, uniqueness and outperforming suppliers in the telco market are not just a consequence of the supply price mechanism and the performance targets that are adopted.

We asked noted experts what drives success, and each offered their own viewpoint. Success, they said, depends on capable organizations with streamlined process design, is driven by strategy based on considered SWOTs and fine-tuning of prospects and comes with best-of-breed technology input and with engineers putting it to use accordingly.

Any expert is right from his own point of view and with a convincing presentation and focus. The experts we consulted addressed industry-specific structural and performance problems. Savvy process design comes to mind as playing a significant role in implementing strategy. Being successful is not just a matter of combining different disciplines. Convincing employees of the entrepreneurial need for process implementation helps them to achieve their targets and makes process implementation a precondition for delivering performance. At the same time, process shifts can only be achieved if the process is both a part and an objective of the strategy.

Oil for Networking Powers Selling

Networking networks provides an outstanding input for best-practice performance, but where is the oil to make the machine of telco provisioning run smoothly and organize the company’s output as if it were led by an invisible hand?

Transparency in the transformation process from, say, old process street A to new process design B will strike home to people and convince them to join in. This means that success is simply built on the people who have been persuaded to take part.
