Robert Schiller
Robert Schiller, Ph.D., was born in Zürich in 1950; he has worked as a business mentor worldwide to help people to discover a greater sense of well-being and to improve their performance in their work. He draws on many years of managerial experience in an international corporation in Basle and as a strategic thinker in achieving turnarounds of companies whose existence is in jeopardy. In addition, he lectures applied entrepreuneurship and leadership work to future engineers at the ETH Zurich and communications specialists at the SPRI. He is the author of a number of books and articles on such topics as mentoring, leadership, and corporate strategy. DIE ZEIT DER EINSAMEN WÖLFE IST VORBEI – FÜHREN MIT LEIB UND SEELE Published in June 2009 by Stämpfli Verlag, Bern. 128 pages, ISBN 978-3-7272-1342-7. Robert Schiller’s latest book offers a refreshing approach encouraging us to assume the responsibility of leadership. Following the practical advisor for management, “Gestern Team – heute Chef” (“From team to boss”), Robert Schiller includes the followership this time around. The key to a responsibly minded economy which is capable of survival lies in the skillful collaboration of leaders and followers. The manager as the lone ranger is doomed. The easily understandable “we principle of management” described in this book assumes that there are leadership qualities in all of us; they must only be brought to light and developed.
