Thorsten Claus
Thorsten Claus is Managing Consultant with Detecon, Inc. in Silicon Valley, San Mateo, California. With over 14 years of telecommunication industry experience he leads the Detecon International Center of Excellence for Digital Entertainment, creating innovative business models and service offerings, evaluating emerging technologies around end-to-end rich content playout and talk-back. His responsibilities including project management, sales, business & corporate development, group & practice leadership, and key account management for Telco and Digital Entertainment industry clients in the US and Europe. Leading multinational teams, he scouts and assesses emerging technologies, service, and products; develops technology, business, and product strategies; designs prototypes; and manages product innovation and implementation. Prior to joining Detecon, Inc. he held a position as a Senior Technology Consultant at T-Systems Nova North America, where he was responsible for building up the Software & Network Technologies practice, focusing on NGN network architectures, products, and services. Before his assignment at T-Systems Nova North America, Thorsten worked as CTO for COSYNUS GmbH in Germany, a unified messaging company focusing on fixed-mobile convergence customized solutions for international large and medium enterprises. Thorsten holds a Master’s Degree in Information Technologies with focus on Business & Administration from the Technical University Darmstadt, Germany.

Yasmin Narielvala
Yasmin Narielvala is a Senior Consultant with Detecon, Inc. in Silicon Valley, San Mateo, California. With over 10 years of telecommunication industry experience she has recently joined the Detecon team, bringing with her considerable international expertise across a range of organizations and technologies. Prior to joining Detecon, Inc. she held the position of Head of Technical Sales and Service at Inclarity plc London, one of the fastest growing technology companies in Europe with a market-leading Voice over IP business. Her role involved building and managing a technical presales and post-sales team within the start-up VoIP division of the company. She was responsible for strategic planning of the technical operational support for the product and service; developing the necessary R&D strategies, product and service strategies, IT and network structures, and business processes to fulfill the ongoing requirements in this area. Before her assignment at Inclarity plc, Yasmin worked as Technical Sales Manager in the Carrier Division of Siemens UK, with a focus on developing value propositions that supported the introduction of NGN solutions into large telecom operator networks. Before working for Siemens, Yasmin worked for Telstra Australia in Sydney, gaining a solid and varied knowledge of telecommunications technologies and processes. Yasmin holds a Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Adelaide and a Master’s Degree in Commerce with a major in Marketing and minor in Technology Management from the University of Sydney.
