The second trend which will cause major changes in processes as well as business models in companies is the meshing of ERP applications with other technologies such as RFID, GPS, or smartphones. But much of this is still far in the future.

Professor Leo Brecht directs the Institute for Technology and Process Management (ITOP) at the University of Ulm. In addition, he is chairman of the Capitum Suisse.
